Five CEDS researchers presenting at the 13th EAEA convention
East Asian Economics Association (EAEA) is holding its 13th convention on 19-20 October, 2012 in Singapore. The convention will be hosted by Nanyang Technological University.
The East Asian Economic Association (EAEA) was established in 1987 as the first international academic organization to focus on the economics of East Asia, comprising Northeast and Southeast Asia. The major activities of the EAEA include publishing a quarterly journal, the Asian Economic Journal, and holding biannual international conventions.
Five CEDS researchers (Dr. Arief Anshory Yusuf, Dr. M. Purnagunawan, Mr. Wawan Hermawan, Mr. Ahmad Komarulzaman, and Mr. Martin D. Siyaranamual) are participating in this convention by presenting papers on various topics ranging from the issue of poverty to climate change. Most of these papers are the output of the recent CEDS’s research activities. These papers have been gone through competitive selection process to be presented in the convention. EAEA convention is among the most prestigious academic event for East Asian economists and CEDS researcher’s participation in this event is not only aimed at disseminating the center’s research areas to wider academic community but also part of capacity building process of the center’s researchers.
