Research seminar series in economics (RSSE) is annually held seminars featuring the findings of all research projects of Center for Economics and Development Studies (CEDS). In this open seminar, research findings are scrutinized by external discussants and discussed by seminar’s participants. RSSE is a core part of our mission in improving academic atmosphere within the university and increasing the quality of our research outputs.

Monetary and fiscal policies are effective instuments to boost aggregate demand and growth in the short-run. However, they are not effective as a remedy for declining growth potentials. Declining growth potentials are currently an imminent threat faced by many economies including Indonesia.
On February 12, 2016, The United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) Bureau announced the establishment of an Independent Team of Advisors to support Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Prof. Armida Alisjahbana, a professor from Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Padjadjaran and also a former director of CEDS UNPAD is appointed as one of its members.
CEDS and Doctoral Program of Applied Economics (DET) are hosting the Brown Bag Seminar entitled “Easing the trafic: The road-use effects of Indonesia’s fuel subsidy reforms by Dr. Paul Burke from The Australian National University. The seminar will be held on Friday 22 January 2016 at CEDS, Jl. Cimandiri no 6-8, Bandung.

CEDS modeling team, lead by Dr. Arief Anshory Yusuf, has been supporting staffs from the Economic and Monetary Department of Bank Indonesia (BI) in formulating various structural reforms scenarios as part of their growth diagnostic study.
