CGE
models have been widely used for the assessment of economic impact of
energy and climate policies. Nevertheless, the neoclassical features
leads to deal with long-term issues without taking into account the
short-term and mid-terms effects that such policies could have on the
economic activity. The ThreeME model has been developed in France to
address those questions and especially on the sectoral effects of an
Energy transition toward a low-carbon economy. The goal of the ongoing
project conducted with the French Development Agency and the BAPPENAS is
to develop such a tool in the Indonesian context.
About Presenter:
Paul Malliet was graduated from Toulouse School Economics and is
focusing as economist on energy and environmental issues from a
macroeconomic perspective. He is currently involved in the development
of the ThreeME model, he mainly conducts his research on the economic
impacts of an energy transition.
