10th EEPSEA Regional Training Course on Environmental and Resource Economics
A three-week intensive training course on environmental and resource economics in Bandung, Indonesia, from February 20 to March 9, 2012. The training was hosted by the Center for Economics and Development Studies (CEDS), Padjadjaran University, and had 24 participants from Southeast Asia and China. There had been more than 70 applications for participation and EEPSEA selected these 24 based on their profiles and research concept papers.
The training covered three modules. Module 1 on cost-benefit analysis and the economics of pollution control was delivered by Dr. Benoit Laplante while Module 2 on valuation tools was taught by Prof. Jeff Benette. Prof. WictorAdamowicz delivered the last module on natural resource economics. At the end of the training nine participants were selected to present their research proposals which all the training participants commented on and discussed.
